The rigorous standards Savinelli set for a pipe to be classed as an Autograph limit production to a small amount of pipes each year and they are made from only the finest, aged, Extra-Extra-grade plateau briar.

They “shape first and drill later” due to the size of the ebucheon, they are hand carved from start to finish by a single artisan. The wood has been cured slowly to ensure there is no cracking.

It is estimated that only 1 in every 4000 ebucheons will qualify to become a 000 rated pipe which is the best quality that Savinelli offer, the grain is outstanding and the block has been worked to get the best looking pipe possible. The creativity of the pipe maker has produced another unique masterpiece of smoking pleasure.

The bowl is quite large but narrow and not fully rounded with a plateau top, it sits in the hand with ease, there’s plenty of wood here so a cool smoke will be no problem. The shank is generous and where the mouthpiece joins it looks like they forgot to finish the pipe, the craggy end does look good.

The mouthpiece takes a 6mm balsa filter and the pipe is sold with plastic converter and a single 6mm active charcoal filter.

Each pipe is boxed and comes with a pipe bag, guarantee and care instructions.
