Following on from the Signature No1 and the Millenium Lancero this is the third Limited Edition re-release by Davidoff this year.

The Davidoff Aniversario No. 1 is a Double Corona that first made its debut in 1986 as a cigar that was created for Zino Davidoff’s 80th birthday. It is said that he wanted a cigar that he could light up while he was still 79 and smoke well into the first hours of his 80s.

At that time, Davidoffs were still rolled in Cuba, but when production went to the Dominican Republic, the cigar was also released using non-Cuban tobacco.

This massive 8 2/3 x 48 double corona has an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, an Ecuadorian binder, and three different Dominican fillers, piloto viso, San Vicente viso and San Vicente mejorado viso.
