Peterson Flake Pipe Tobacco – 50g Tin

Back in late 2017, Dunhill announced they would cease producing their famous and much loved pipe tobacco range, which left many devoted fans with a heavy heart. Two years on, Peterson have boldly taken the torch and relit the fire without altering the recipes, to bring back some old friends.

Peterson Flake is a straight Virginia, medium in strength which burns cool and smooth that has had an avid following through the years. A welcoming tin note of hay, a little citrus and grass, earthiness and sweetness, greets you as you open the lid. The flakes are wonderfully deep and rich in colour, especially for a Virginia and they are a pleasure to work into your pipe. Lighting is easy, as there is the right amount of moisture and the tobacco burns long and cool without biting. The smoke is naturally sweet and one of the best examples of a straight Virginia out there. It’s no wonder people keep coming back to this tobacco.
